Helford Passage to Pendennis Point Falmouth
---
PLEASE NOTE:
Anyone taking part in this walk does so at their own risk
---
The walk from Helford Passage to Falmouth is appox 10 miles. Meet at the car park in Helford Passage at 8.30am for the 9am start. The coast path book describes the walk as 'moderate' so, a few hills but nothing to taxing, good sea views and plenty of fresh air.
Maenporth would make a good halfway break for a bite to eat and a rest.
Please make your own arrangements for the return to Helford after the walk.
Regards,
Colin
WEEKEND WALK NUMBER 3
Sunday May 23th 2010
Brixham to Torquay

PLEASE NOTE:

---
Meet at Brixham Breakwater at 8.30am for a 9am start. (Use the multi-storey carpark just above the Breakwater as it is cheaper)
The Walk itself is 8.4 miles and is described in the handbook as moderate to easy. It must be said, however, it is not the most scenic stretch of the coast path but this will hopefully be compensated by the addition to our ranks of members from Totnes Boating Association belting out a sea shanty or two. (Hope you are reading this - Nick and Pip !!)
A good way to finish the day would be to catch the ferry from Torquay back to Brixham.

WEEKEND WALK NUMBER 4
Sunday May 30th 2010
Isle of Portland
---
PLEASE NOTE:

Walk number 4 is aproximately 11 miles. Although the longest walk, it is only described as moderate and is probably the most interesting of the four walks.
Meet at the carpark at Chiswell at the foot of Portland Bill at 8.30am for a 9.00am start.
The walk is a circular tour of the Isle of Portland with the lighthouse at the Bill of Portland being a spectacular place for a halfway picnic or lunch, particularly if its windy !!.
The walk ends back at the Chiswell carpark.
This is the last open walk before I stumble across the finishing line at Poole, hopefully the next day. I hope some of you will be willing to help me on my way. It would be great to see you at any of the walks.
Many Thanks
Colin
P.s ( for Mill employees) I'm not as nasty as I sound on the phone, honest !!
