Don & Ians' Weekend Walks

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Don and Ian from our Paignton branch will be joining me for the 4 weekends of the walk, aiming to complete a total of 100 miles, raising money through sponsership for the charity.

 

The three of us will have a combined age of over 150 years, "Watch out Cornwall, Here we come"

John Penrose Weston super Mares M.P recently visited the Weston branch to help publicise the walk.

 

Mike Stevenson and myself gave John a tour of the branch, meeting the staff and explaining the day to day running of the depot.

 

Mike had a long conversation with John about things that I didn't understand !

I then had a long conversation with John about the walk and our mutual interest in fishing that Mike didn't understand !

 

The visit was scheduled for 20 minutes, but lasted for just over an hour and was a great success.

Fund Raising Events

 

 

This page will contain details of forthcoming fundraising planned by Mill AutoQuip staff members and their customers.

 

Torquay 

Mike & Richard will be running the 2010 marathon which incures 20 miles visiting many local customers to help raise money as they go. This all starts on the 28th May. Also thank you to Amanda who will be running a raffle for the branch, so please help Torquay branch with all their fundraising.

 

Newton Abbot

have planed a customer raffle  thoughout May for their local area,

Chard 

have decided to hold a disco and karaoke  night on the 8th May. 

 

Taunton V Plympton

branch have organized a football match, so place your bets now !! 9th May

 

Bridgwater 

are organizing a quiz night for all of you, dates will be announced as soon as confirmed.

 

Weston

The 2010 Weston beach olympics night also to be announced but try outs have started so please help the Weston branch with their recruiting.

WORD QUIZ WINNER

 

 

Congratulations to Sarah from credit control, St Austell, who received a £15 Argos voucher by winning the word quiz.

 

Sarah was very pleased to win and said "It will not change my way of life". She would still work for Mill Autos, but was a little concerned by the number of begging letters coming from the Bridgwater area.

 

 

PUB QUIZ

 

Weston Egg Heads

 

Weston branch held their first fund raising event of 2010 with a quiz night at Weston cricket club. The event was a overwhelming sucesess with over 70 people attending. The quiz was M.C'd by myself and I am proud to say I kept remarkably sober. The total raised by the quiz and the prize draw was just over £200.
